How to Vote / Voting Information

After speaking with our Property Manager, Lena, here is important information about the upcoming Board election process.

There will be two mailings sent to all unit owners:

1. First Mailing (Already Sent - June 26, 2026): This package notified owners of the upcoming election and included the Board candidacy application for anyone interested in running for the Board of Directors.

2. Second Mailing (Approximately 2-3 Weeks Before the Election): This package will contain the official voting instructions and ballot.

Please remember: You may vote for a maximum of THREE (3) candidates only. If you select more than three candidates, your entire ballot will be considered invalid and will not be counted.

How to Submit Your Vote:

1. Complete and return the paper ballot that will be mailed to you.

2. Submit your vote electronically using the instructions provided in the second mailing. Electronic ballots are handled by an independent third-party election service hired by the Association.

For Owners Who Will Be Traveling or Renting Their Units:

If you will not be in the building during August, or if you rent your unit and are away, we strongly encourage you to vote electronically. For additional peace of mind, you may also mail your completed paper ballot and submit your vote electronically. The third-party election service and management will ensure that only one vote is counted if both are received.

Election Deadline:

All ballots must be received by the election deadline on August 26, 2026. If mailing your paper ballot, allow sufficient time for delivery to Marina Palms North. Ballots received after the deadline cannot be counted.

Tal Berke - Unit 1001

TAL BERKE Candidate for the Board of Directors Marina Palms Residences North Condominium Association Unit 1001 ABOUT ME My name is Tal Berke, and I have proudly called Marina Palms home since 2023. Professionally, I serve as the Senior Vice President of DLT USA, a third-generation family-owned international manufacturing and distribution company serving customers throughout North America and around the world. I oversee business development, operations, strategic planning, vendor relationships, and long-term growth initiatives. Before joining DLT USA, my career focused extensively on residential property management, asset management, capital improvements, budgeting, vendor oversight, and luxury residential communities. I managed and oversaw large multifamily and condominium portfolios, worked on capital improvement projects, contract negotiations, operational planning, and financial management. My professional background has given me experience managing complex projects, controlling budgets, negotiating contracts, solving operational challenges, and building strong relationships - skills that I believe directly apply to serving our community. WHY I'M RUNNING Marina Palms is one of South Florida's most beautiful waterfront communities. My family and I chose to make Marina Palms our home because of its exceptional location, marina, and lifestyle. I believe our community has tremendous potential to become one of South Florida's premier luxury residential properties - not only because of where we are located, but because of the experience we provide to every resident and guest. I am running because I believe we can continue raising the standard through greater transparency, stronger communication, improved accountability, and a renewed focus on resident service. Leadership begins with listening. Every resident deserves to feel heard. Every concern deserves thoughtful consideration. Every decision should be made with the community's long-term interests in mind. Thank you, Tal Berke

Steven Zelkowitz - Unit LPH-7

Dear fellow Association Members, I am a candidate for the Board of Directors of Marina Palms North Condominium Association. I am running for the Board of Directors because I love Marina Palms North. My two daughters, Ally and Emma, and I, along with our canine companion, Joshua, moved into Marina Palms North in June 2019. Since that time, we have enjoyed the luxury lifestyle, amenities and spirit of community offered at Marina Palms North. I am originally from New York and have lived in Florida since 1991. During my 35 years in Florida, I have worked as a real estate, land use and zoning attorney, served on a number of boards, as well as serving as the Vice Mayor and Councilperson for Miami Shores Village. Through this experience I learned to lead both local governments as well as large and small businesses to achieve their short and long term goals and successes. In serving the Association as a Board Member, my priorities are as follows: Restoring luxury and service to provide an elevated quality of life and drive market values. Facilitating meaningful Association Member involvement in the Association decision making process by creating Member populated committees to address building aesthetics, maintenance, future projects and budgeting. Improving accountability from property management and security services to ensure the needs and desires of the Association Members are met as well as implementing an Association application for smart devices for reporting maintenance matters, disseminating Association notices and even a resident marketplace (this type of app was implemented successfully in Miami Shores Village and is used by most local governments and condominium associations). Improving security in and around our building as well as in the garage and other areas managed by the Master Association. This would include greater security of pedestrian and vehicular access and garage safety. Implementing Association governance innovations permitted by State law such as electronic voting to restore credibility to legal processes. Most importantly, ensuring all Association Members and residents are treated with the respect and dignity they deserve, recognizing they are the funding source of all Association operations. EDUCATION: Juris Doctor and Master of City and Regional Planning, Rutgers University, 1989 QUALIFICATIONS: Steven W. Zelkowitz, P.A., Managing Partner Taylor Duma LLP, Florida Market Manager Fox Rothschild LLP, Managing Partner Miami Executive Committee, Member Gray Robinson, P.A., Managing Partner Miami/Fort Lauderdale Statewide Budget Committee, Member Miami Shores Village, Vice Mayor and Councilperson Planning & Zoning Board, Member Historic Preservation Board, Member The Surf Club, Board Member and Secretary Miami Symphony Orchestra, Board Member and Advisory Board Member Humane Society of Greater Miami, prior Board Counsel Cell: (305) 301-5533 Email: swz7979@gmail.com

Juan Rodriguez - Unit 1510

Juan Rodriguez Originally from Colombia, I grew up in Bogota and graduated as a Mechanical Engineer in 2001. Moved to Australia in 2002 and lived in Melbourne for 7 years, during my time there I completed a master’s degree in engineering management and started my career as an Engineer in the transportation and mobility space. Transferred to Miami in 2010, and since then established a home in the States. After living 7-years in NY, came back to Miami in 2023 and found a new home with my wife Laura, my daughter Emma and my golden retriever Solo, here at Marina Palms. I’ve met numerous neighbors, including my fellow candidates Tal Berke and Steven Zelkowitz. It excites me to see that our community has caring individuals and families that are all looking to make their home at Marina Palms one that we all continue to enjoy, and as an investment one that continues to grow. I truly believe in collaboration, transparency and accountability. These three pillars are what have made me thrive in my career and as a board member what I will encourage to bring to our community and what I will work towards to among the other elected board members. I look forward to serving the building and its community Warm Regards, Juan Rodriguez (Unit 1510)
